Ul class = “IMPORTANT-FACTS” & GT;

  • Casodex 50 mg is indicated in combination with an analogue of the luteinizing hormone liberating hormone (LHRH).
  • It acts blocking the action of androgens (male hormones) in the prostate, braking the growth and dissemination of cancer cells.
  • This medicine is not suitable for women.
  • Bicalutamide, the active substance of Casodex 50 mg, competitively inhibits the union of androgens to prostate receptors, preventing stimulation of the growth of cancer cells. In combination with the analogues of the LHRH, which reduce testosterone levels in the body, CASODEX effectively controls the progression of prostate cancer. It is usually prescribed to patients with advanced prostate cancer, specifically in stage D2, when the tumor has metastasis beyond the prostate gland.
